Google TV New Version Includes Apps From Android Market
The second version of Google TV set-top-box software includes applications from the Android Market. It also looks similar to Android for tablets. A look at the update revealed that Google TV 2.0 will have the Android Market integration for content and applications.
Showing pictures leaked of the upcoming operating system update is available online. It has a new interface, which is inspired by Android Honeycomb. It allows users to download applications directly into a box of Google TV. Applications available include Fox Business, CNBC Real-Time, and Adult Swim. There is an application for QVC, TV screen saver and an application of the fireplace.
The initial model of Google TV was not well received by consumers due to its limited search for sports teams, actors, and the channel names. With a USB webcam, the user can turn the TV on a video monitor chat. But it has enough content that made Google viable as a replacement TV set-top-box. Sites television network also blocks the transmission through Google TV.
Logitech Revue was the first set-up box that ran Google TV, but received bad reviews. It was also expensive at $ 299. I had no storage capacity and DVR. It also requires a full-size keyboard control. Logitech has become more Revues they sell.
