Cosmic Panda, YouTube New Experiments Look

YouTube finally publish the newest experiments into the public domain. The experiment is called with Channels and Watch Experiment (aka Cosmic Panda). Cosmic Panda is an experiment of the development team to introduce a “new face” of YouTube in the future. These changes not only in design view and layout, but there are a variety of new features the implemented.

Besides the new layout design, the team also conducts a variety of changes that include changes in Branding and Settings, Templates, Featured Modules, and in the Sidebar. And there is also a Community tab to display all of your channel comments, recent activity, bulletins, and subscribers.

In the Cosmic Panda, content on the Channel page is organized in one of four templates named: Creator, Blogger, Network, and Everything. When you first opt-in to the experiment, a template is automatically selected for you based on your channel’s content and activity. You can easily edit this and select a different template to organize your channels.

And now it is easy also to edit your Channel’s profile picture (avatar) and background image by click Branding at the top of your Channel. To change the title, description and tags That describe your Channel just click Info & Settings at the top of your Channel.

Based on the template you have chosen, you Will be Able to display different modules containing videos, playlists and Channels on the Featured tab of your Channel. This tab is the landing page for your Channel. In the sidebar on the right hand side of your Channel, you can edit and view descriptive information about your Channel.
