Google and China - Dispute With The Government

Google’s of China has not ended. Recriminations and denies still color the relationship of both, associated with the Gmail service. This time, the internet giant reported a hijacking attempt on thousands of Gmail accounts that allegedly carried out of China.

In a report submitted to the United States intelligence agencies (U.S.) FBI, Google said hackers were detected coming from China try to steal passwords U.S. government officials, Chinese activists and journalists. The dispute related to Gmail this is the second time that happened between Google and China.

No doubt, the future of Google in search market share of China’s increasingly uncertain. Quoted by Reuters on Friday (6/3/2011), in his blog Google did not openly accuse the Chinese government for the attack which happened this time. But clearly stated that the attacks were coming from eastern China.

Such as burglary incident last year, the White House also had to intervene to handle it. White House and the FBI reportedly soon announce the investigation on this case. Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Ministry accused the government’s accusations addressed to contain hidden motives.

“Blaming this crime against China is really not acceptable. We are also victims of hacking,”a spokesman for the Hong Lei. This attack is mentioned Google does not only cause problems on Gmail security. Gmail users across China have complained of the email service disruption for several weeks.
